Does AirBNB charge the host extra fees for credit card processing? Or is the 3% flat fee also include credit processing?

The host is not involved in the payment method a guest used to pay Airbnb.
The 3% host fee (+ VAT, if applicable) is a fixed fee

I have not worked with AirBNB before on a listing so I just wanted to make sure as a host that we were charged the credit card processing fee when a guest booked with a credit card. We are new to this and not exactly how it works.
Hello as @Emiel1 mentioned the guest pays Airbnb this has nothing to do with your payout from them as a host.
If you go to the Airbnb Help website it has FAQs around most of the basics of managing your STR business on Airbnb.
There are also useful guides for new hosts on this community forum.
Good luck @Marie8041
@Marie8041 It is my experience that the 3% fee charged by AirBnB represents the processing charge for the total guest payment made by credit card. It is deducted from the host payout. As such, it is an expense and can be recorded on your taxes (in the USA).
