Damages

Hi Everybody, Im new to the Hosting and I have a question....My current guests have some damages 2 days into arriving....they closed the bathroom door and a piece of marble tile came flying of the wall,  broke the toilet seat and shattered. Should I claim for the damages, bearing in mind this is not an old apartment and is in top condition? Any help as to what I should do would be appreciated.

Doesn't sound like a claim against the guests as it wasn't their fault. Try Airbnb's insurance...good luck with that 😕

Hi Stacie,

Unless you know the door slammed on the tile directly, it sounds more like the tile wasn't glued so well onto the wall. You'd have a hard time proving they caused the damage and it wasn't just wear-and-tear or poor construction. I'm not suggestion either is but I doubt you'll get far with Airbnb Claims.

Sorry.

Agree, sounds like the installation was defective.

This is shouldn't happen from slamming the door, and because of that
this manner of construction deficit.
