What do you do if a guest damages something during their stay?

@Anthony1465  Is this a theoretical question, or something you have just experienced? It sort of depends on the damage. Some things are considered part and parcel of hosting and others definitely should have compensation requested for. 

If a guest caused damage, maybe you could briefly say what it is here and other hosts could advise how to proceed.
