Disagreeable guests

Confirmed with one guest (female) and two people arrived.  When I contacted Airbnb, I was told the reservation had begun and there was no recourse.  From the first night, there has been a struggle over the upstairs thermostat.  Guest persists in 5 degrees lower than specified in house manual.  The second person (male) NEVER leaves the house.  So the a/c is always on all the time.  Additionally, the bed has been stripped and upper mattress removed.  While cooking food, wrappers are left on the floor and food splattered all over the wall, from the sink to high over the stove.  I provided oral and written instructions upon their arrival, but obviously they do not heed them.  All my previous 10 bookings have been great.  Reactions?

Sounds like this is possibly  not the end of the trouble, involve the support team at this point and ask their advice so you’ve covered all bases.
