Early Departure Refund...?

My guest checked-out a day early...no mention of refund was made by guest.  What would be proper in this scenario?  Thank you.

@Jerry9 - don't worry about it. If the guest wished to cut his stay short, for reasons not concerned with you or the listing, then no refund it due. If he wanted to cancel he only has to log in to his account, amend the booking, which sends you a message to accept or decline the amendment. If he didn't mention a refund, he doesn't expect one. You are not in a position to re-let the room for that one night and if there are no extenuating circumstances causing his early departure - just leave things as they are.

My feeling here is that they booked and paid for your space.  You kept your side of the contract, and if they choose to leave early, that is always their choice.  Therefore, I do not think you have anything to worry about!!  I have the case of one man who paid for his one night, anf then nevder got on his flight because it was cancelled.  2 weeks now, and I've heard nothing from him.... we had spent hours at airport waiting for him... personally I think I earned that money just sitting around waiting, and of course, the gas to and from the airport etc!!

Well, the apartment is not available in the calender for you to book to someone else, so you should of course keep the money. You have kept your side of the deal, so the guests can't get any money back.

And as you mentioned, the guest didn't ask for a refund, so surely they don't expect one.
