Editing address & description

Hi, I am trying to edit my second listing but cannot find where to enter the Description! I don't know if right at the beginning I inadvertently ticked some box or did something that means I can only have a Title and photos but nowhere can I find where or how to add a Description. It is driving me batty. I've checked my first listing and the layout and form from Airbnb is different - I have th eoption of editing Title and Description. But on my 2nd listing there is nowhere to add info on the place. Please help!

You have 1 listing published now, i assume this is the one with option to change title and description.

Did you publish the other one also allready ? (status: listed, option is at bottom of the screen) ?

Hi Emile, no my listing is not 'live' yet. It is for my flat in Camps Bay, Cape Town. I don't want to publish it as it didn't have any of the info .

@Jacqui54 you may be encountering the problem that Airbnb has with listings that are not yet published. For some reason, listings that are created (but not yet published) often are impossible to edit. I myself continued to get blank pages when I tried to edit anything on the web site.

(Strangely enough, I was able to use the app to do any edits I wanted.)

Try using the app to edit the parts of the listing you want.

Or, if you continue to have the problem, you can publish the listing but make all the dates on the calendar unavailable.

However, don't publish the listing if you are very far from being ready. You do not want to waste the initial "bump" that new listings get in the search results.

Thanks for the alternatives. I've just tried on my phone and have the same problem. Can't do more than photos and a title . I'm reluctant to publish seeing as there is no info at all on the place and no guarantee I can load the info once the listing is active.

I am having the same problem as a new host. I've set everything up but there is nowhere to add a description and I don't feel comfortable listing without letting people know the unique features of this place.  I found this thread while searching for answers. I can't even find someone to contact in AirBnB to ask my question...

Hi Fonda, I had to activate the booking so that it was 'live' and then could add everything.  Not an ideal situation, but I had everything typed and ready so I immediately copied and pasted. A bug that Airbnb needs to address.
