Hello
We own 3 Airbnb condo properties in Edmonton, AB Canada and we are having difficuty finding an insurance company that will insure us given we operate solely an Airbnb rental. They deem the property as high risk and commercial. Does anyone have any recommendations on an insurance compnay or broker that would insure Airbnb style rentals?
thank you

we didn't use a broker we got our policy through SquareOne insurance.
When the good folks at SquareOne learned that I offer breakfast "fixings" to my guests (yogurt, bread, fruit, juice, coffee) they declined coverage.
SONNET is IN!!! SO easy, so helpful! https://www.sonnet.ca/home-insurance

Hi! May I ask what your insurance costs? I got a quote but I want to make sure its in the ballpark of normal for what we do as hosts. Thanks!
I just found that Sonnet will only cover partial rental of Airbnb. You need to be living there and just renting out rooms and not the whole house. With that being said, Sonnet is indeed a good option if your'e living there. Unfortunately for us, its an entire house rental and they wont cover it. Thank You Janine
Hi! I am in Calgary but manage a property at Gull Lake Alberta and will be hosting for other owners there soon. Do you guys have a Property Management License or other business license? For our own place we don't have anything like that but I am wondring if/what we need as we take on more properties. Thanks!
Has anyone ever used Duuo Insurance? A unique offering with on-demand insurance but I'm wondering how it works for the times their insurance isn't in place.
Airbnb. has insurance as well. Our place down south is "liability only"...thoughts??
