False claims in review

We just got back from our AirBnb rental and left a review for our host.  I just received her private and public reviews where she said we broke house rules by having pets due to finding kibble and claw marks. We did not travel with any pets but we found some kibble in the home and some evidence of mice. It's totally unfair that this false review is on my profile forever. We are always respectful of our hosts properties and rules.

I have left a rebuttal to her review but is there anything else I can do?

Hi @Karen1544 , sorry you had this experience. Unless you can absolutely prove to ABB Customer Service that the presumption is false there really isn’t anything you can do. Your other reviews are good so I wouldn’t worry about it. I would accept a booking request from you despite her review. In the future, I would suggest that you do not address anything that is said in the private information. In my opinion, the only answer you should have given was “This was a mistake, we are always respectful of the House Rules and the space.” Your other reviews back that up.

I get it, no one likes to be falsely accused or have people speak other untruths, even in private. I made a few similar mistakes as a new host, addressing things that were in the private comments or a star rating that actually no one else could see (unbeknownst to me 😛 )  It will Soon be buried among your good reviews.

Karen evidently could prove to Airbnb because the Host's Review has now been deleted.
