Fraudulent Charges

Fraudulent Charges

Hello,

My credit card has been charged several large reservations in the mid-range thousand of dollars; seven separate charges ranging from $2,000.00 - $7,000.00.

I do not have a Air bnb account.

I have been trying to resolve this issue with the "Air bnb Trust and Safety team"  I have had no help.

I have a case number.  Please resolve.

@John-Nicolas0 this is a community forum and we are all hosts here. We don't have access to information about your problem. Keep contacting Airbnb and also try to figure things out with your bank.

Welcome @John-Nicolas0,  were you able to contact Airbnb about this as recommended by Ana? Please let me know.

I contacted Airbnb and basically had to demand I speak to a Supervisor figure.  The process is insane; basically, because I do not have authorization to the account, even though my credit card was used to pay for the reservations, I am not entitled to the reservation info.  Luckily my credit card statements show the reservation numbers so I can provide that information but I started this inquiry on the July 24th and am still waiting for them to review the charges so I can get the $19,000.00 + in Airbnb charges reversed off of my credit card.  It doesn’t seem to be that important to them.

In a case like this, @John-Nicolas0, I'd have gone straight to my credit card co/bank, because your card has obviously been compromised. It's your bank/credit card co's job to fix this for you.

@John-Nicolas0

Contact your credit card provider, they'll have fraud team and you'll have a far better response from them then Airbnb who are master at looking the other way, despite all the BS about community.

You might want to tell them that, my credit card company wants Airbnb to reverse them

hey do you remember the first 6 digits and what bank your card was. i got my info stolen to will help a lot
