Free stay in exchange for house/pet/plant sitting

my partner and I are looking into travelling to Vancouver, BC first week of August 2019. We would love to take care of your plants or pets in exchange for a free stay. We'll most likely be there for 5-7 days.

Preferably a place downtown or close to downtown. 

Preferably a place with parking.

I'm also a web/graphic designer by trade, if that's something you would like to trade, we can come up with something.

I tried that, however they're asking for a month subscription in order to use their site 🤔

But this one asks you to actually pay for your stay. There is just no mechanism here to allow people to stay for free in exchange for pet/plant sitting.

No harm asking, but it's not a thing. 

If you can somehow scrape together that one-month subscription, it sounds like your best bet.

  As Gordon said, wrong site. There are lots of people who would like to trade a free Airbnb stay for something. Airbnb hosts are in the STR business, not the free-stay business. We would either be continuing to host if we were away, using a co-host, or having a trusted friend, relative, or vetted person on a house-sitting site  look after pets and property while we were away, not some stranger.

Perhaps you should be looking at Couchsurfing, if you don't want to pay anything to stay somewhere.
