I’m getting ready to retire from teaching in June. I want to be sure I can be a host in California without endless rules and regulations. Could someone let me know what is going to be involved. I did find out that my county does not require one if the taxes.

@Betsy53 you might want to search for other Airbnb hosts in your area and ask them if there are any regulations you need to know about. 

The treatment of Short Term Rentals is very local and very specific, so the odds are that no one here could speak with any authority about how your area treats Airbnb rentals unless they also have an Airbnb rental in your area.
