Guest broke into private area of home

I had guests break into my personal bedroom and use it without my permission. I am beyond upset and feel very violated. I keep my things in very particular order and am very keen on noticing when they are out of place. The differences were subtle but I picked up on them quickly. The biggest being that a pillow from my bedroom was in the room used for guests. They also relocked my door when leaving. Is there anything that can be done about this? Aside from this, it was very clear a party was thrown in my home and as much as they tried to clean up, there was still evidence such as food on the group, busted and leaking bottles in the freezer, beer bottles filing the trash, and a very dirty toilet.

I am so sorry to hear this happened. I was a little confused if you locked your bedroom door (with a key or electronic key presumably), how your guests could have got in without the key? Did they break the lock?

Presuming it's against your house rules to use/go into your bedroom and have parties....I would contact BnB straight away - you have 48 hours from the guests leaving - with photographic evidence of any damage to your property.

Also make sure you leave an honest, factual review - so that other hosts considering them as guests know about their behaviour.

Yes take photos. I can't believe someone do this. Please leave an honest review about them and what happen as none of us want them in our house.  Take it straight to Airbnb.

This is exactly why I won't rent out if I am not here.
