Guest does not understand ....

Guest does not understand ....

that I did not accept their booking but because the room showed open they thought they had made the booking.  They have sort of accused me of cancelling it although I never accepted it in the first place.  Tried to explain but they say they have booked all over the world and never come across this sort of issue.  As far as I am aware, I declined their booking and that is that.

@Anonymous When you go to Your Reservations, what does the status say for this reservation request?

 

 

 

 

It says declined Clare.

@Anonymous Ah ha! Then you are totally in the clear.  If this guest contact you again, tell him he will have to take it up with Airbnb and cease communicating with him. He probably was upset at having been declined.

Sounds like they just made a mistake and then couldn't believe they did! Not your issue and if they take it up with AirBnB the message trail will be visible to show you declined the booking. Annoying and an upsetting thing to happen too. 

 

One thing I am confused about however is how they got your address details if the booking was declined as these are not revealed until a booking is completed.
