Indeed some people turn off their notifications, or they don't pay attention to the app once they are in the listing and everything is how they expected it to be.
Keep sending your message, it's good form- and rest assured if a guest wasn't happy with any part of their stay they would reply to your message and get in touch!
I always let guests know how I'll communicate with them once they arrive- I always let them know that I will send a message the day after check-in to make sure they had a good first night, and then a message the day before they depart to confirm check-out time and instructions, and if they need anything in between to get in touch.
If they don't reply then I assume all is fine!
