Has anyone had someone extend multiple times to find out they did not pay Airbnb?

I had a guest extend 6 times in one stay. I found out at the end of the stay that his card was declined 4 of the extensions, therefore I am out $800 dollars worth of rentals till the money is collected from this guest. I was not warned of this any of the 4 times his card was declined and kept letting him extend. Has anyone had this happen?
