I recently hosted my first guest and Airbnb sent me an email saying "It's time to get paid!" which told me to add a payout method. I followed the links, filled in all the required details including banking info, and then clicked next, and then the page directed me back to my account's Payout Preferences tab. It doesn't show any payout methods yet (it looks exactly like it did before I added a payout method), so I'm wondering if this is normal? Has my payout method been registered and it's just pending verification or has something gone wrong? It has been over 24 hours since I added the payout method.
@David1493 Do you see any of the information you entered, and, if so, does it have a status? If it says "Pending" it means that your payout preference is pending Airbnb verification. Depending on the type of account you establish this can take several business days. The verification process involves Airbnb sending a small deposit, usually one cent, to make sure it is processed correctly and isn't rejected for any reason. Once the verification is complete, the status will change to "Ready" and Airbnb will release payouts to you.
Payout processing can also take some time as it depends on the account service provider's processing time. See this link:

If this scenario doesn't fit your situation, I would advise that you try entering a payout account by direct access to Airbnb's website with an internet browser such as Chrome or Firefox.

@Clare0 The page looks exactly the same as it did before I enetered any information. There is nothing that says "Pending" or anything of the sort. I've tried to add a payout method twice (I use Chrome) and here's what it looks like:
@David1493 Try refreshing Chrome to get rid of any old info that might be lingering in your browser. Updating to the latest version of Chrome may help as well. Or, if you don't want to lose your saved passwords, etc., try using Firefox.
What type of payout account are you trying to create? Have you seen this link?

@Clare0 I've tried refreshing and updating Chrome to no avail... I've read the link but nothing seems to help. I think I'll just call the Airbnb support number and I'll see if I can have them do it manually. Thanks for the help anyways!

@Clare0 So I called Airbnb and they had me run through everything again to make sure I was doing everything right. When it didn't work, the lady on the phone checked through my account to make sure everything was set up properly. It turns out that I didn't have my government photo ID verified yet, so I uploaded that and I told her I'd try again, then we hung up. I tried again through Google Chrome (to no avail), but this time, it worked using Firefox. My payout method is now set up and it's pending.
I'm not sure why Chrome didn't work. Maybe because I have an Adblocker and a VPN installed? Anyways, after making sure that all my information was completely entered and verified and by using a browser without Adblockers or VPNs installed, it worked great and I am now able to get paid.
