Have a lost my potential super host brownie points?

Someone tried to book one of my rooms.  I recommended they go for a larger room which they hadn't seen on the website. I held off accepting their request as I thought it would be best if they rebooked the bigger room. But have I lost my super host brownie points? How is best to handle such situations when you're trying to help but end up messing things up?

@Susie282 Better might have been to accept the reservation and then discuss changing it whereupon you could have sent a change request to the guest.

You could have asked the guest to cancel their request but the system is hard to operate for new guests and it might have been beyond them.

Thanks Mike and Jane o - that's so helpful! I have heard from a few people the site is hard to navigate.
