Help and Advice on visiting Northern Spain during July/August 2018

Hi

Would welcome any tips and advice on the following:

2 Adults, 3 Kids (15 years, 10 years and 5 years)

Rough intinerary as follows:

1. Fly into Santander 18th July.

2. Hire car

3. Stay near Bilbao for 10 days. Would welcome suggestion for appartment for 5 persons with 2/3 bedrooms, air con, pool, near beach/shops/bars/restaurants, free parking. Not really interested in city accommodation. From here we can do day trips to Santander and San Sebastian etc. Any advice on best beaches/towns/activities to do with kids.

4. 28th July. Drive Taragona/Salou and hire appartment similar to above for 10 days. From here perhaps do day trip to Barcelona. Again, would welcome suggestions for an appartment for 5 persons with 2/3 bedrooms, air con, pool, near beach/shops/bars/restaurants, free parking.

5. 8th August (approx.) Drive back to Santander. Return flight.

Any recommendations on accomodation/places of interest for family/kids/water parks etc. would be most welcome.

You've brought back some happy memories, 30 yrs ago we arrived with our 3 kids in Santander by ferry and stayed in Noja about an hour towards Bilbao, Suaces apartments right on the beach, just looked on google earth and they are still available. No shops or restaurants 30yrs ago but a fantastic beach.
