Help in regards to Payoneer

Hi Fellow hosts,

 

I have been an Airbnb host for coming up for 5 years. I have always had funds paid direct into my bank account from Airbnb, however, I have had issues of late (no payments received from February onwards) so I changed my account details (same bank just every day account instead of savings) & am now being told I have to send my identity details to Payoneer. I know nothing about then apart from what I have googled. Is this a new thing where everyone has to be paid by Payoneer or are some people still being paid direct to banks?

Thanks for your reply.

I have an ongoing case that commenced 37 days ago (I had other cases relating to this matter that got closed without resolution) & the issue with signing up for Payoneer is just the latest kick in the guts. I gather from your response that this clearly isn't normal. I have really lost trust in Airbnb & am suspicious of their intentions. 

If you have any further information that would help me I would be most grateful.

 

I have also lost my Superhost status because I chose not to take bookings until this was resolved as I do not work for nothing,
