Hi

Hi

I'm new to Airbnb and I was wondering if I'm suppose to tidy up each day for my guest. For instance, do any of you make their beds up each day?

Would love some feed back.

Thank you!

Hi @Patricia1934

Absolutely not 🙂 The guest is responsible for making up their own bed and tidying up after themselves in the bathroom, kitchen and any communal spaces.

A host shouldn't enter a guests bedroom unless you say for example in your house rules that you provide a weekly clean and change of linens/towels for your guests. Or of course if there is an emergency.

Thanks for the feedback, Helen::)

For stays longer than 10 days, we clean the guestrooms and bathrooms every 5 to 7 days, depending upon the length of stay.  The reason why we do this is because guests are lazy, and will not clean up after themselves even if you provide the cleaning products, sponges, rags and brooms.  I had a guest stay for almost three weeks, and he didn't clean bathroom or sweep his room floor the entire time.  Guests are charged for each cleaning, and they really seem to appreciate the service as if it enhances their travel experience.

@Patricia1934  I have a 2 week max stay and no, I do not clean for the guest. I offer them clean towels and bedding after a week, (or if they are staying 10 days, I'll offer halfway through) and offer to clean after a week, but most have said they don't require it. I never enter the guest's private room and bathroom during a stay unless they ask me to for some reason or there's a situation that needs attending, like a guest who left the windows open, was out , and it started raining. I didn't want her to come home to a wet bed, but I did message her to tell her I had done this.
