I am a successful host & traveler ..... therefore it strikes me that you are “missing a trick” by not combining these qualities!
Here is one way how .... I currently have thousands in future rental income but will not access it until my guests arrive. I need to plan my own trips and therefore have to pay out money to reserve my trips!
So why don’t you allow “hosts” to book “trips” using their credit !!!
I would book more and probably more expensive trips if I could use my “host credit”!
Just a thought and if you do it send me some credit or start your own credit card!
Keep up the good work and remember it was my idea !
The In-Home Accessibility team at Airbnb works with hosts to help them improve the accuracy of accessible homes listings on the platform. The team recently launched a project to offer professional photography services to hosts of 1,000 accessible listings in a number of cities across the world, including London.
Unless you book with no refunds at all, this wouldn't work because of the possibility that your future guests could cancel. This needs a bit of tweaking. Perhaps you could start the new 10% discount with no refund type of bookings that are being suggested by Airbnb, but even that may not pay out until your booking dates pass.
@Nicholas229 I have the option to get paid 50% upfront. I don't do it because I can imagine the headache if guests canceled, not to forget bank/credit card fees and currency exchange rate fluctuations and errors in computation. But you're onto something - how long before Airbnb have its own credit card and awards scheme.
