Host reported damage to guest within 14 days, then nearly tripled the supposed repairs a month later

A host contacted me after staying regarding a lamp that was broken. It looked like an old lamp and was next to a sofa chair that pushed up the lamp against the wall and broke it. The host said it would be $150 to repair, which I promptly gave to the host. Now, a month later, the host says it will actually be $400 to repair a lamp! This seems like an exorbitant amount of money (as did the $150 quote, but I was happy to give it and dispose of the issue amicably) and is a month later. What is there for me to do besides asking for proof of the $400 quote and then saying "I'm sorry but this seems like way too much for a lamp. I'm sticking with the $150." Any help appreciated!

@Patrick1187 I would just reply and say that you have paid without quibble (or receipt) the amount the host said it cost to replace the lamp that got broken. And that it is not appropriate for them to come back a month later and ask for a large additional amount.
