How are you handling the electricity consumption when you are running on generator in Beirut?

To my follow hosts in Beirut, I am a new host and having a little issue when the apartment electricity is running on generator (for those who are reading and not from Lebanon, in Beirut the electricity that is provided by the government goes off 3 hours a day, each day different hours, 6-9, 9-12, 12-15, and 15-18). How are you communicating with the guest to keep the electricity consumption to a minimum when we are running on the generator? Currently, the fridge, water heater, and AC are always ON, and sometimes when the guest uses the washing/dryer machine, or the hair dryer, it overloads the generator capacity and we lose electricity! It takes a few minutes to turn it back ON but it is inconvenient and not easy to explain/ask the guests to do it when I am not around.
