How can I make sure a listing is real?

This is NOT an Airbnb listing,as  it is not on an official Airbnb website.

Better avoid, as most Airbnb look-a-like-websites are scamming you.

@Laura2825 , go to airbnb.com and look at some listings there. Look at how the URLs show up. They are not "airbnb.com-request-room" or anything like that. They are simply airbnb.com then the forward slash: "/rooms/" etc. 

Scammers are tricky, so you need to be a step ahead. And you were. Something about that link was off to you, which was why you asked, which is good!

It is best to go through the site itself to find places to stay, rather than clicking on something you see off-site.
