How do I get my guest to leave at check out time?

Hi, My current guest refuses to leave, she hasn't informed me that she needed a late check out. Her stuff is everywhere and she's not the best at communicating, and is insisting she has the right to stay on. She had a very very good deal, managing to get a 21% discount for a week stay and has availed herself freely of any service I could possibly provide. I haven't made any money out of her.

Your response to the review was hilarious, @Orla27 - I'd book with you in a heartbeat, based solely on that! You come across as an honest, open and creative person, with a wicked sense of humour 🙂

It's about time we all started telling it like it is in response to snide, passive-aggressive behaviour/reviews from guests. All this coded, wishy-washy  "Airbnb-speak" language that many hosts tend to use in reviews, goes straight over most readers' heads, and lets bad guests away far too lightly. Meet fire, with fire. Anyone reading your response there will be suitably warned, and left in no doubt whatsoever as to the quality of that guest! Well done, you!

@Orla27  That review response was so amazing I may have to copy it. You are awesome. Makes me want to fly over just to stay at your cottage. Well done!

@Orla27  You can count me among the others who loved your response to that review. No, it wasn't "nice" but it was perfect (as far as I'm concerned "nice" is a highly overrated virtue). The responses that would put reasonable guests off booking are the ones that go on and on in an emotional, defensive, or aggressive manner, not the succinct, funny ones.

I have very flexible check-in times and late (4PM) check-out, as I leave myself a day between bookings. And if a guest had a late flight and wanted to check out at 6, I'd not have a problem with that, as long as they were polite about asking, not assuming or demanding. Same with check-in. My check-in window, 11 AM to 11 PM has worked for all my guests so far, except one who was arriving on the bus at 9AM. But when I asked for her arrival time, she said she realized that was too early to check in, so she'd amuse herself in town until 11. As she was so respectful, I told her a 9 AM check in, if she'd prefer that after a long bus trip, would be fine with me.

@Orla27 Was that review removed?
