How do you handle .... they are taking over!

I have only had three reservations. The first one, well they were so fabulous. I think I was spoiled 🙂

The next set was not bad but when they used the Hot Tub they played with all the buttons and turned the settings to circulate twice a day for 12 hours and turned the heat up to 104. Unfortunatley we did not realize it until the following day.

The next set I just wanted to smack upside the head. They showed up late and were hungry. Ok I will make you a simple supper. Then she "could not eat it all" and took  it to the Family Room... where it sat. (We live in the Country) Then I hear some banging around and realize that someone is in the workshop. So I go look and yes there he is getting wood for a fire. Huh? Why are you in here? Getting wood for a fire. Excuse me? I went to tell him to get out and stay out of rooms that were not his but hubby gets some wood and starts a fire for them (it is 19 degrees and there is no need for a fire). Next morning I enter our Family Room and  the furniture is rearranged. So before I can clean I have to put the furniture back. When I asked why they said they could not see the TV (really? It is a 70" TV). I let it go. The morning of their departure I once again go into the Family Room to find dirty dishes, beer cans and a wine bottle. Garbage everywhere. I am not a happy camper and say nothing only because they are leaving and I want them out!

What am I doing wrong? Does eveything have to be written out in detail? Or did I just get a couiple of bad ones?

Any suggestions on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated.

Gail
