How to pay the pending payment?

I reserved my trip and during the reservation it took half of the total cost and in my trips it shows rest of the amount will be scheduled for payment on some future date. 
How can I pay the payment right now? Or it will be collected automatically?

"You agree that by selecting the Pay Less Upfront Feature, you may not be able to pay for the booking with a different Payment Method or pursuant to a different payment schedule."

If I understand it correctly, it's not possible to pay the remaining balance whenever I want, but it will be automatically charged at exact date. 

Am I correct?

Hello,

I am trying to figure out the same thing as well and so far I have found out that you cannot pay earlier. You have to wait for the scheduled date and make sure your card is credited with the amount of money that airbnb is going to get from you or else your reservation will be cancelled.

Maybe anyone else have found a way to do this earlier than the due date or has airbnb developed a functionality to do this?

@Aristotelis3  No it can not be done. You can only pay when it's schedule for when booked.

I haven't been able to figure out how to pay early, but these instructions are taken right from an Airbnb help page:

If you choose to pay less up front, you’ll pay part of your reservation now, and you’ll be automatically charged the remaining balance at a later date. When you complete the booking, we’ll let you know the date when you’ll be charged the second payment. We’ll also email you a reminder 3 days before the second payment is processed.

If you need to update your payment method associated with the future pending payment OR you want to pay the future pending payment early, you can follow the steps below.

1. Go to Trips and select the trip where you want to make the change
2. Under Trip Overview, click Reservation
3. Under Payment Details, click Get receipts and manage future payments
4. On the Your payment details page, scroll to Scheduled payments and click Update payment details
5. On the Change Your Payment Details page, under Pay with, select the payment method
6. Under When do you want to pay, choose either Pay as scheduled or Pay now
7. Click Submit

If you can figure out how to pay early, congratulations. Teach me how to do it.

I understand it would not be the easiest thing to implement I'm sure, but would it not be in the best interest for all parties for this to somehow be an option. whether it be expiring gift cards or even possibly tax purposes this should be an option to pay the remaining portion if need be at whatever time is beneficial most beneficial. Let us please have this as an option I believe this can be done without thousands of people clamoring for it as it seems to have been an issue for at least 5 years now. We can always do better let us all try to do so
