I feel kind of harassment by my guest

I wan to share my current experience. I will be short to eliminate long time reading.

I'm renting the full place. I am 4 yo older than guest. I have my husband, but he is not interest be part of Airbnb. I know, women are more easier to be a victim of any men. The 1st day he texted me a poem: to show he is an artist. OK He explained me in details about her fiance and how she is crazy for him. 1st Friday at night, he got out to smoke and "someone" locked the place, casualty 9:30 pm. He even call Airbnb to let them know the situation. I kept calm and sent my husband went in my place. He explained to my husband that a neighbor locked the door. To throw off, I explained next day my stress and told him I was out of town. Then he texted me a picture of a woman in a bikini, saying "mommy" For the rest of the week he even texted me up to 30 times! a day. I am realizing, he takes any opportunity to send my a text, photo, alluding, to my ethnic, underlines taking about drink or dance. I understand, that a single, old and alone man need desperately companion. I don't want to give up. My husband told me what do you expected? Find angels every time?

So be polite but not trust. Make excuses for personal encounters, and this is more for women, old or young. If you'r old: you need something or nothing to loose, if your young everybody wants something. I will be dealing with this guest until August 30. He is not been more aggressive because Airbnb rules and he lost his house, and this is a good way to have a low profile, no utilities, no property taxes, no responsibilities, but everybody have a second chance.  His work place is about an hour from my place, but" he works from home", oh, I must say: work remotely. Just be careful girls.  Good Luck.

Why are you communicating with this guy by text @Gabriela665 ?.

Please block him and report him to Airbnb. When you do ask them to cancel the booking as this guy makes you feel uncomfortable. Tell them you need him to leave by your check in time, in the morning.

Keep all communications on Airbnb. Let your husband handle all communication until he has left.

No-one should have to put up with such awful behaviour. It is harassment and unacceptable.

Yeah, why women has to be in these type of situations, evertime, anywhere. I had been talking with Airbnb an they are very close supporting me. Thanks for your comments an good feeling with me.

Thank you Stephanie,

I'm too sensitive to this situations, and  I can  exaggerated. I erase the picture of the woman in a bikini  he sent me, because I thought if my husband see it .  I understand that guest is just looking for company and  I do not like to take any risk, especially because I know that if you reject him in whatever way men always take revenge. I've been dreaming to start hosting for  a while as a year or two, and i send my credit to furnished the apartment. This is the 1st guest and I am not going to give up so easy. What I am doing? Well even my husband is jealous, really, he is Mexican,  but he knows that no have change to provoke this situation. I mean since the guest arrived he start talking to me like that.

The incident with the sink, that I just talked to Airbnb to let them know if something major repair he provoke, it didn't finished.  After that he invite me to a concert, but I ignored him.  He made arrangements w/ the neighbor to fix the sink. Even I asked him don't do it due I have a plumber, he finished telling me that they, the neighbor like to drink and it would be a nice gesture if they can have a case. It took me time to understand what means case.

After not talking to him for almost a week, he mentioned again, the plumber neighbor, and asked me to go over there to make a deal with him to contract his services to work every month cleaning the sink. I ignored  but this time I asked him to stop due the past I know about the neighbor. So I back to the original idea that not meet the guest in person just  if it is  necessary.  I am learning and as my husband said: men wants sex after a good meal, after a good drink and take any opportunity but if woman ask for an invitation then the crazy B#@ is her.

Yes sometimes guests really think we are included in the price and want to fill every minute of our time.

When you see only a small sign please make sure to NOT be around that often and to only respond trough Airbandb and only respond to NON personal questions.

Stay firm but polite!
