I'm worried... Fake host???

I have a booking for this saturday for my family and friends, my host seems to own the place but he gave me a local contact for the checkin and enventual questions. I've been trying to reach this person for the past 2 days but he isn't answering my mail and the phone number he has given me is wrong. I've asked the host for another contact and again the new contact and phone number doesn't answer and I can't leave a message.

As per my host reputation:

Airbnb says his identity is verified, he has 823 comments and is a member since 2014

What do you think? Could it be a fake account or is he just an overbooked host working with the wrong agency?

Thanks for your help

It's not unusual for a host to have someone local who checks people in, hands over keys, etc. That in itself is not suspicious.

If you fail to make contact with him by Friday morning first thing, then contact AirBnB and let them try and make contact.

Definately call Airbnb, they are so great at getting in touch with the hosts/guests.

I always phone Airbnb and 3 times out of 4 I get an AMAZING person on the other end who really cares and knows the system, like today when I called them!

Give them a ring, its not your job to worry!

What is AIRBNB phone #?
