I've received an instant booking with Wrong amount of guests. Guest doesn't agree with the new price

Hello.

We have received an instant booking was for 1 guest. Our home has a flat rate up to 4 guests and an additional fee for guests over. I ask my guest how many people where coming and he told me 5. I told my guest that this would require an additional fee and sent a modified booking which he did not agree to. He insists on me canceling the reservation, but I understand that this will refelect negatively on me. I have suggested for him to cancel the reservation and I will refund him what airbnb would charge him for the stay (excluding any fees airbnb may charge him). He won't accept and insists we cancel.

Any suggestions??

@Belen14  Contact Airbnb, who should be able to cancel the reservation without penalty since your guest is not adhering to your policy.
