The 1099-K supplied to me for 2018 was incorrect as all the income went againt the one SS number. I made an admin error and it should have been split between 3 SS numbers. ( I manage 5 different properties for 3 seperate owners)
I have updated the info to reflect correctly how the income should be split. However for 2018 one owner now has a 1099-K showing more than $200K in income. Who do I speak with in Airbnb to get the 1099 ammended?
I tried customer service and they contacted their tax dept and I was told in writting that they could do noting to help. But an incorrect 1099-K has been issued and if they are not the ones to ammend then who is?
The Revenue and Tax dept here on Guam tells me that Airbnb is responsible.
Thank you in advance for any pointers.
