Insurance cover

Hi there, what is the situation if a customer causes your house or caravan to burn down. Does the AirBnb host insuracne cover this fully?

AirBnB does not have Insurance, it does have the Host Guarantee, certainly not something to be relied on and it would not cover fully.

Thank you so much. So have you taken out business insurance for your property as well? I talked to the support team and they said it would be covered but they would try and make the customer pay first if it was their fault.

i just got the same reply. i have a yacht with insurance but wont be covered for airbnb... am currently looking at overseas options and perhaps commercial insurance. I believe there is a dispute resolution process which if the guest does not pay then airbnb will (with discretion) come to the party.
