Hi,

I'm planning a trip to Iran. I see that there are no flats of airbnb in Iran. Question, is the application and website working in this country? I'm an airbnb host and I need to stay n touch with my guests while I'm there. 

Can anybody help me in this matter?

Hello @Carol689,

The article below lists countries where Airbnb doesn't operate. Iran is one of them. You won't be able to access any Airbnb website from within Iran unless you use a VPN app, i.e. virtual private network.

As lots of sites are blocked in Iran many people there have knowledge of VPNs and which ones work on which phones and operating systems. I have an Android phone and had to try a few from the Google Play Store before I found one that worked for me when I was there. Some apps allow you to choose which country you'll appear to be accessing the internet from and some set the country as the United States of America.

@Carol689 you'll need to get a co-host to look after the place while you are away and keep in touch with them by phone/email.
