Is AirBNB charging too much in fees?

It seems like AirBNB is charging the guest 23% more than I am. I surprised by that, since they say here that they typically charge "under 13% of the booking subtotal." Is this hidden policy, obfuscation, or a mistake?

For example, on our most recent booking, the total payment is listed (am I wrong, or does the total payment only show up in certain emails from AirBNB? I can't find it by looking at transaction history) as

Total Payment: $427.69

"You will earn":  $337.56

Booking subtotal: $348

AirBNB guest service fee: 427.69 - 348 = 79.69

As a percentage: 79.69/348 = 22.8%

@Claire--Kipchoge-And-Zép0 the service fee is up to 20% of the booking subtotal +taxes, that is why it might appear higher. We as hosts don't have control how much fee Airbnb will add to the reservations for the guests.
