Just started hosting and have guests booking, but got home to one I wasn't sure about!!
The person is REALLY young and the profile name and the name they've sent to me are completely different.....They've also been on AirBNB for over 2 years yet have no reviews.....should I be concerned?? Should I ask for some sort of security deposit???
@Karl-And-Sarah0 - Welcome to Airbnb. Unfortunately, when the guest booked, that was the contract you agreed to at the time. You cannot ask for a Security Deposit now, after the fact. We would encourage you to always request some sort of security deposit to use to claim for damages. You need to make that a part of your listing description.
If you think that the guest is not the person who actually booked with you, that's another problem. You should ask for some ID and see if the person who is in your property and the person who booked are the same. If not, contact Airbnb immediately

Yeah it's awaiting approval....and it seems dodgy...I asked a couple of questions and now it seems there is two people coming when only book for one....and they avoided another question completely!!
Somehow think they won't be staying...and I've made some changes on the settings etc...
