I have read in several marketing articles the importance of making your listing title stand out. And it makes me wonder whether it actually works. When I as a guest am looking for a place to stay at, I keep an eye on the pictures and whether the price is attractive enough for what I am expecting/looking for. I never look into the title, it would not make any difference to me. And at times, these listings titles are written in another language I cant manage.
Are you a host who carefully choose the listing title? Do you change it regularly? What do you look at when searching for a listing?
Thank you for taking the time in providing some feedback!
@Elizabeth429 I agree and think that 95% of the time, the title is inconsequential to the search process. In my case, I changed my title to highlight a distinguishing aspect of my listing, the availability of a secondary bedroom.
Love your bedding in the pictures and the robes in the bathroom. I just imaging cuddling myself with it and walking out into the patio to take my cup of tea 🙂
@Elizabeth429 I too have read lots of tips and tutorials about titles. Most seem to agree that you should have a title that not only stands but that the characters fill the entire space - can't remember the max number of characters.
I think most importantly to make it stand out, one should highlight main points in the beginning and at the end of the title, since as we read, we skip the middle part and our eyes focus on the first word and last word.
I went into your profile a few days ago and needless to say, your listing is a dreamy getaway spot. As for your title I was caught by the words "Dark Skies" (right on for nature lovers).
@Elizabeth429 Thank you! The area is recognized as an International Dark Skies Community because of the lack of light pollution. I figured some of the people coming through are doing so for the dark skies, as well as the mountains.
