When you read the boards keep in mind that people who have a good experience don't come here to post about it. If things go as expected, people don't feel the need to share.
There could be thousands of smooth transactions per day and none of them are newsworthy... none of those hosts feel the need to vent or ask for advice. When you read the boards, you are not getting the complete snap shot of what it is like to be a host.. There will be problems because you are dealing with the public.
Most of our transactions are great. The last guest used the self check-in. They where peaceful, quite and we would not have known their where there if it wasn't for their car being parked out front. They left the place spotless and even made the bed (I don't understand why people make the bed before checking out). Never saw them, never heard from them... not the most excited post so you will not read people posting this type of hosting experience.
A recent guest left a nice note and a piece of handmade earrings.
