Make another booking to same host.

I have a guest currently staying with me until Wednesday, she wants to return in August and has placed another booking for that period of time. All fine with me. However i have not received said booking and have had to block out the dates for my own additional room to ensure she is not left high and dry. My guest thought it may be that her existing booking has to end first before her second request goes through? Any advice greatly received.

@Clare-and-Coco0 - no, she does not need to complete her current reservation before making another.  If neither you nor she has a confirmation notice, there is no reservation.

You will need to unblock the dates if she is going to submit a reservation request now.

Thank you for your answer, the room i have blocked out is my personal room which i offer up and did so just for back up as she has been a lovely guest, all of my guests have been :-). My guest is in my designated for purpose room and submitted the dates for the same room. It must be that she hasn't completed as you say but unaware. I'll advise her when she is back. Appreciate the response. 🙂
