This is just a technical issue I don't seem to be able to add a new blocked off date from the calender when I go into the site through my pass word. it stats to make a booking not blocking it as I seemed to be able to do when I first registered.  I dont want to let anyone down I will be away so can not accept a booking and i will be out of email contact.

Sounds like you may be logged in as a traveler instead of as a host. Just switch the setting.
