Marriott Timeshare

Hi. I have two weeks a year at a particular Marriott. But I need to book only two of these weeks through Marriott first. Does anyone have experience listing on Air BNB? If so, what do you do first? List availability or book with Marriott and offer the two weeks on Air BNB

I've got the exact same question, for example I have a timeshare with every week except New Years available to me. I'd like to leave my AirBnB calendar open for all 51 weeks until someone pings me for registration. At that point I'd need to book with Solmar resorts and then if available, accept the guests request.

Have you been successful in this endeavor yet?

@Robert1828 The caution I have regarding using Airbnb for a timeshare is the Airbnb cancellation policy. Even with a strict cancellation policy, you will only get paid for the reservation if the guest cancels within 15 days of check in. I can't speak for every time share, but many won't let you cancel your dates at all once they're booked.

Also keep in mind that if someone sends you a booking request, you have 24 hours to respond. If the timeshare property takes longer than that to respond, you either have to decline, or the dates will be blocked. Too many declines and your account will be suspended, and your placement in the rankings is dependent on accepting guests.
