Missing items

My guest checked out a week ago and I didn’t notice the missing items until yesterday. They are not valuable just irreplaceable, that’s the annoying part.  I have not reviewed the guest yet, should I mention the missing items on her review? I’m assuming ive left it too late to contact air bnb? She also left the kitchen a mess and my front door open/unlocked!

Have you asked the guest about it? Might be put somewhere else, and not taken (best case scenario)

''Did you happen to see a xxx? I can't seem to find it, maybe it was placed somewhere else?''

I have thought I lost things a couple of times, but have been found in weird places much later.

@Suzi30 @Sandra126 yes this is frequent. Just today I found a bottom sheet that disappeared a few weeks ago. I couldn't imagine the guest took it, and was completely mystified. They had folded it up inside a mattress pad that I didn't know they had used.

Thanks Lisa. One of the items is a dress which wasn’t very expensive at all but I use to wear it a lot and it is irreplaceable. Am thankful  that I have learnt my lesson and that it could of been worse.

Yes I did, I said how these things can happen accidentally, that she may of accidentally took it but she said she didn’t know anything.
