Was traveling with my dog so had limiting options to pet friendly. Found one I had stayed at before with 2 available nights. Booked it. Got receipt and confirm#. Credit card charged, partial credit used.
But it didnt show in my trips. I called the host when I noticed it later that evening (luckily still had his number).. He said it was impossible to book tonight because it had already been booked a long time ago and people were in it. Same with his other listing yet they were up.
Called airbnb they see my confirmation number and say "that's weird" because it was showing someone else booked it.
They said they would have a specialist look into it. Also said they would try and get approval for a credit since all the other options were booked in my price range (it was 9pm by that point).
Crickets.
I messaged the guest relations girl back for an update.
Crickets.
Still nothing from them. Honestly it seems like they are going way downhill..This will be my last season with them and I'll be switching to other booking agencies.
Should add every excuse they gave me didnt add up. Tried saying my payment didnt go through (it did) and that another guest swopped in. I told them I am a host and am fully aware that reservations are held for 24 hours if that happens and I received no notice of it needing a new payment. It showed charged on my card.
