Hi everyone,

 

I am a novice here at Airbnb and tryibg to cope. It seems quite easy and intuitive and I get, why this is a worldwide succes. What I dont get is that it seems that my calendar is unblocking dates in the future. Just experienced it again with dates in late October and start November. This has cost me one cancellation already as I had instant booking and some one booked my home mid September. But the dates where never set available by me and let to cancellation with the following penalties from Airbnb as a result. Therefor I have no changed to status where I have to confirm all bookings. Quit anoying as I can see how Airbnb likes to push the instant booking profile, which by the way makes good sense. Anyone that can help? I can't seem to get a hold of Airbnb to adress this.

 

PS; just had our debute this weekend as host and it was a great experience so we are still very much into this:-)

Hi - it is a longstanding and very annoying bug in Calendar which AIrBnB seems to be unable to remedy Dates open randomly even when you have blocked them out. You should have contacted AirBnB and got them to make the cancellation for you - they do this a lot for hosts who end up with bookings on dates that were blocked. Still not too late to plead your case and tell them why you cancelled - easiest way is via Twitter - search for AirBnBhelp.

When i click on ACCEPT/DECLINE the system does not take me to bookings to to ACCEPT this booking in order to accept payment. Tried many times

HELP!!!

please kindly give detailed steps

as you can guess brand new to this

i received the booking request on email but it will not action when i click on the instruction to ACCEPT the booking

Not quite sure what you mean,

If you click on the e-mail and it doesn't take you to your messages, log on to airbnb and the booking request will be in your messages which are accessible from the dashboard.

If you are looking how to charge the guest, airbnb takes the payment before the booking confirmation gets to your dashboard, you will get paid 24hrs after the guest checks in.
