My guests are booking and then have event parties.
I have guests that are booking my home only to find out that they are planning events after arriving. One guest booked 2 nights and then told me she was having a wedding reception in my garden. How do I handle these situations?
Hi @Pamela461. Your house, your rules. Just add No Parties or Events to your house rules. Each time I get a booking request, I send a friendly reminder that the listing does not allow smoking, pets or parties. You have the advantage of living on premises. That makes it easy to curtail any unwelcome activity. Be sure to have a printed set of house rules availble at check-in for guests to review.
Thank you for your advice. I don’t mind if people want family to come over but they do it after the fact which makes me work harder and Ibfeel like they are not being honest with me. Thanks for your feedback.
If you are OK with your guests entertaining their family and friends at your place during their stay, perhaps mention in your listing that such activities must have your approval at the time of booking. Set limits to the number of persons and the hours for such visits. People have been known to take advange of someone that is too nice.
