Hi 

This is Bilkis 

inwould like to know if anyone here is renting a room in their home.  I am new and need to get some tips. Have not yet posted but in process of taking pictures.

It's important to be up front about your expectations of guests and what your house rules are. 

I find some hosts just expect guests to have common courtesy and to know what to do. That is NOT the case lol. Let your rules and expectations be known ahead of time 🙂 

That would be my advice!
