New Host - nervous about guest

I accepted a guest (my first) without any information about him.  I now see that all my other guest request are in multiple sentences.  I don't know where my guest is coming from and he is due today.  I asked him to call me to give him the address and lock code and explain how it works.  His answer: "Tomorrow call"  I asked him if he wanted to speak Spanish and said I would like to make sure he's a real person.  He responded in Spanish "hahahaha" and then "I am busy".  Today I asked him to call me and he responded (in Spanish) "i am in class".  I just have a funny feeling and for some reason it seems robot generated.  He only has one review and it's positive but very vague.  I am afraid this is some sort of scam.  He is supposed to arrive today at 6:00pm.  Am I exaggerating in thinking that his reluctance to call me is weird?

@Pamela149 - you are learning a valuable lesson about getting to know your guests before they arrive.  It is a conversation that not only sets expectations, but provides you with a level of comfort for allowing a stranger in your home.  Talking on the phone is not typical with Airbnb but if you want it to be, make sure you put that you will want to chat with the person on the phone directly right in your listing so guests know to expect something outside the norm.  Once he booked, he was provided with your name, address and phone number and may not feel the same sense of urgency that you do.  Your cautiousness is amplified by the anxiety of your first guest.  It's probably fine and he's probably going to be a decent guest.  Take this opportunity to write to your other reservations and get to know them better before they arrive so you can be more relaxed when they arrive.

Thank you for your response.  I wouldn't normally want a phone call.  When I am an Airbnb guest I don't have one.  You are right about the source of my anxiety and it certainly is a valuable lesson.   Now i know that I need a little info before accepting a reservation.  Every single other person has written to me telling me a little about themselves and why they are going to be in Ft. Lauderdale.
