No Reservations

I asked this question before.  I have been doing Airbnb in Washington DC  since March a year ago, and in that time have had 40+ reservations. They  were all lovely. I couldn't find anything to complain about. Abruptly I have no reservations after July 1.

When I asked before, I was told that other peoples' reservation were fine, and that I should get professional photographs of my place.  Airbnb furnished a photographer & the photographs are up.  Their puff emails went on and on about how many more guests I would have because of the photographs.  Not one **bleep** reservation.

My foreign guests have been saying that no one wants to come to DC, & that they would not have come had their meetings not been planned for a very long time.

Someone mentioned HomeAway & I joined that, with only two two-day guests in two months.

How do I get reservations?

Hi, @Diana37, I have been in a few Airbnb droughts myself, so I know how painful it is. I'm not sure this will help, but other hosts have said you can raise your views by making some calendar adjustments and tweaking your listing on a daily basis. For example, go into your calendar and block a day, then you can go ahead and make it available again. The same with your listing. Tweak a few words or something. These are pretty easy things to do, so give them a try and see if things improve. Good luck, because I can empathize with your pain!

Thank you.  I'll tweak.

I looked for my apt as if I were a stranger.  Did not find it in 300 listings.  Noticed that Instant Booking thing.  I have not used it, but I never check out my guests anyway.  Turned on the instant booking.

Found my apt at the top of the list, in English and in French.

Very curious.

@Diana37 if you didn't have instant book turned on then that's the answer on your question.
