Non chinese citizen alipay does not work, and stalls the entire booking process

It worked when I used the Chinese site airbnbchina.cn

I went through the trouble of registering a new account under China's airbnb. However, I remain unable to use both wechat and alipay. In addition, the listings available are different between airbnb.com and airbnb.cn. I would advise all foreigners trying to use their local CNY salary to give up and use their non-China cards instead. Also, do not change your location to China, since airbnb is obliged to give your information to the government.
