Hello, my payment is delayed due to the airbnb platform, I already sent several emails telling them that they did not send me the payment and always the same automatic response, my payment is in future transactions and my host has left 4 days , I tried to contact you by email several times and always the same answer!
I also have a query about payment because, I want to receive an up front payment of at least 50% of the total fee in advance to secure the booking, and the rest when the guest moves in.
Last month I booked an apartment myself and had to pay half upfront and then the other half a few days before I occupied the apartment. i would like to set up this kind of payment system on my home. How do I do it, can get a response from support. anyone who can help me on this I will be very grateful!
I am still awaiting payment also. We are meant to be payed the day after our guest checks in. Still no payment as of yet.
@Normelio0@Marc671 That's strange, I've never had a late payment from Airbnb... but I have heard instances where there has been a delay because the guest credit card declined and Airbnb themselves didn't get paid. It takes Airbnb 48 hours to process a credit card and retrieve payment, so if you have last minute bookings then there is some risk that the payment may not be collected.
Normally, if the booking is far enough in advance, Airbnb flag the issue of a declined card and you get the booking cancelled with no consequence. BUT.. I've heard for last minute bookings, the host can get stiffed if the guest credit card declines, because Airbnb don't have enough lead time to give warning.
Hello @Marc671 and @Normelio0,
Lovely to meet you. I'm sorry to hear you haven't received your payment yet.
Just taking a quick look at your listings, it looks like you are quite new hosts. If this is the case, Airbnb may hold your payouts for 30 days after your first reservation is confirmed. If your first reservation is more than 30 days away, your payout will be released 24 hours after your guest's scheduled check-in. This will apply to any payouts scheduled to be released during those 30 days.
This means that it may take slightly longer to reach you for the first 30 days, but then you can expect the payment to be released to you 24 hours after yoru guest's scheduled check-in after that. You can read more about it, in this Help Center article.
I hope this helps and let me know if this sound applicable to your situation.
Thanks,
Lizzie
