Pay Less Upfront

Does anyone know how to implement the Pay Less Upfront arrangement for guests? All the advice I have seen on Airbnb is that the full payment needs to be made once the guest books but I have heard that 2 payments can be made one upfront and one later. Thanks, Ian

Someone else posted a similar message earlier today but then said it was a mistake as they were referring to their listing on VBRO

Thanks ... but I have heard that the arrangement for 2 payments exists in Airbnb. Ian

Only if you book for more than 28 days, then it will be possible to pay into two parts or more. It is an Airbnb procedure, and the host do not have control on this. For exemple, if the guest books for 40 days period, he/she can pay first for the 28 days in advance and later on for the rest of the stay. If it is a 70 days booking, the payment can be in 3 installments, being 28 days + 28 days + 10 days.

If the guests book for less than 28 days period, they pay at once.

Anyway, depending on the country, it is possible to pay in stallments via cred card for less than 28 days. Anyway, the host is paid in full 24 hours after checkout. In Brazil, guests can pay in 3 stallments via cred card (without paying interest), but the host has no control on this. We can just advise the guest about this possibility, but we can not set this as an option. It appears automatically for the guest.

You can check if in your country there is this possibility via cred card by phoning Airbnb.

No man. It's a different and new thing on Airbnb.

I think I have seen it somewhere too, but it is between the guest and ABB, you will get payed 24 h after your guest check in anyway

It makes sense that the arrangement is between the guest and Airbnb but what I heard is that the arrangement was available or set up on a hosts site with the guest then able to choose the Pay Less Upfront arrangement as an option.

Here you can see that "Pay Less Upfront" "https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/14036429"

But Im loonking for to active it on my listing too.

Or just know how does it works and When will it become available for all listings.

As far as I know it is only "available" if you tweak the system, making a private agreement with the guest to book say three nights out of 6, block the the three following nights in the calendar, then unblock the calendar and extend the booking at an agreed date.

The Airbnb doesn't agree with this kind of "tweak"

So, if you follow the link above, maybe you the "pay less upfront'

Are you making fun of us or just trying to advertise your property.  The links takes me to a listing and only that.

Why would airbnb not agree to a booking being extended ?

I'm not making fun if nobody. That`s listing is not mine. I don't know that hosts

I`ve understood you told us that you can rent your listing for 3 days, and block your calendar for more 3 days and earn the money for these extra 3 days without Airbnb.> This is the way that Airbnb doesn`t agree

This is the print of the listing that Ive gave you here.

@Carlos-De-Jesus0

I am not suggesting to deal outside of airbnb - I am suggesting changing/extending the existing three day booking (example) to a 6 day booking (example again).
